Christmas weekend began with fun trip downtown with the fam.
Aunt Oleva with the crew.
Street Performers (a drummer, not us, clearly)
Festival of Trees
And ice cream to top it all off
Followed by another fun family party.
Games and White Elephant Gift Exchange
Christmas Eve and the Second Annual Reindeer Games (not quite a fun as the first annual games, so this may be a tradition that dies out.......let's just say we have a few competitors in the family....ahem, Nick).
Despite the Red Team's amazing effort,
Green team wins again!
We anticipated a visit from Mr. Clause
He delivered.
Another fun family celebration.
And then the birthday fun began (it's always a party this time of year).
Happy 10th birthday to our sweet Colton.
The fun continued with our 16th Wedding
Lovely flowers from my husband.
And then the friend invasion for New Years began.
We set out on an epic hike.
and found an awesome tree swing
And then brought in the new year as we had for so many years before as kids.
Great food, games, dancing....
and a toast to the new year.
With new years come new resolutions.
This year as I looked back at my prayer journal, my prayer remains the same.....
to be joy-filled and find my strength and hope in the Lord.
Life will bring us ups and downs, but the Lord is steadfast and faithful.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
