Just In Time....Orphanage Update

Here is the "pantry" at the orphanage that we raised funds for.

As you can see, it is pretty bare.

This is all that remained of the supplies that we had left them with two months ago.

It is no wonder I've laid awake in my bed countless nights thinking of and praying for these children, always wondering if they had run out yet.

Our friend "Dave" who purchased and delivered the supplies for us wrote, "Their store was nearly empty, but GOD provided for them in time, Alleluia."

All glory to God for his provision for these children, for always keeping his promise to provide for all of our needs and for his perfect timing in providing for these kids just in time as supplies were running out.

Thanks to the many generous donations that we received, candles, soap for washing dishes, clothes and bodies, oil for hair and cooking, teff and wheat flour, peas, lentils, rice, pasta, salt, sugar and tea were purchased for the children.  These supplies will last for many months (much more than we left them with two months ago).

The tote filled with clothes, shoes, vitamins and a care package for each child that was carried to Ethiopia by the mission team that is currently visiting Trees of Glory (the care point where our sponsor child Meseret is served....small world) was also delivered by Dave.

I wish that I did not have to cover their faces as it blocks out so much of the joy and delight the children experienced as they discovered the items in the box filled with love.

Each child received a package all their own with clothes, underwear, pictures from our trip and a few treats.

There's no mistaking the joy on this girl's face as "M" gets a glimpse of her mama and daddy again.  Sweet girl has lost a tooth since we last saw her.  I can not wait until she is home and I get to see her running around and playing with our kids on this side of the world.  She is truly such a treasure.

The staff and kids offer their thanks!

Thank you to all who donated.  Your generosity and willingness to share has brought hope and has truly made a difference for these seven!

A generous man will himself be blessed, for he
shares his food with the poor.
