So I apparently only took a couple of pictures in November outside of our Ethiopia trip.
This is one that is worth posting. The beautiful new daughter of my dear friend Krysta. How precious it is to hold new life.
Misty the horse made his way to Florida for a visit.
And then we pick up here. December 1st. We had literally just landed back in the U.S. the night before. Because our time zones were all mixed up, we were up at 4 am, so we set out early to get a Christmas tree and start all of the holiday festivities.
We got the nativity below in Ethiopia. It's made out of banana leaves and is one
of my favorite things.
Eli got the angel on top of the tree.
Next, we added Ferdinand to Desta Farms. Nick loves his goats. Ferdi had green ears because his registry number had been tattooed on his ear by the breeder.
We celebrated my favorite guy's birthday. The big 3-9.
The cake was pretty giant.
And we got our first snow.
Which meant the kids had to humor me and do a family photo shoot.
Then a snowball war was in order.
It was epic!
The girls team looking fierce.
The boys.
Then we finished up the day with a gingerbread decorating contest.
The snow blessed us with 2 snow days at home so we did school by the fire.
Later in the month, off season training continued.....the girls loved it.
We paid a visit to Santa.
Once school was out, it was a mad dash in the kitchen to get all of our favorite treats baked.
I've been baking my grandmother's recipes for 30 years and it's so
fun to pass them on to my girls.
We kicked off our celebrations with the SC fam.
Before heading south for Christmas day.
We packed so much fun into December that this post is to be continued...
