We started September with a visit from my parents. Colton had a school assignment to make dinner for the whole family and enlisted my mom's help.
He was a fabulous chef.
And we all enjoyed a delicious meal.
We also celebrated my dad's birthday while they were here.
We squeezed out every last drop of summer. I'm still not used to this abbreviated summer season. In Florida, summer runs mid February to December. Now, May to September is all we have, so we have to take advantage of it.
My handsome man at the helm.
School got off to a great start.
We took several field trips. This was our community helper scavenger hunt day.
Field Day
A trip to the zoo.
This mama was holding her baby close.
And this spider spun a lovely web right outside out dining room window which made for nice observations.
Another great day on the lake with Uncle Na, Oleve and SC Gee Gee and Grandad
Followed by a nigh of fun.
And our final day on the lake with friends.
Aunt Fatimah got the girls all set up with a Tshirt making party.
And thanks to Eli's persistence, we broke out the Fall decorations to usher in a new season.
